Are people in fraternities and sororities generally unfriendly and arrogant?

or is that just stereotype..the kids here in greek life are so full of themselves..they love to brag about their letters all the time even to people who could care less about greek life such as myself...not only that, the sorority girls view guys based upon their letters..and only talk to guys of higher "fraternity status"..i know right..these kids should go back to high school...their mentality reminds me so much of high school..trying to be the cool kids and what not
