Can birth control affect your thyroid gland?

I had a baby august 08, she's nowalmost 7 months old. I've been on oscella(generic form of yasmin) birth control pills since she was about 2 months old..so I've been on birth control pills for 5 months basically. Out of all the blood test I had during pregnancy and even after, there were no show of a thyroid problem...well today I found out my thyroid gland is not producing enough hormones(they are lower than they should be)...so the dr is giving me some pills to see if that levels it out. I've asked two drs if thyroid glands can be affected by birth control pills and one said "I don't think" and the other said "No"..but I'm hearing that it can affect your thyroid gland..? anyone know for sure?

Mahogany Fender Strat?

This is a guitar center special order. This as far as i know is the only mahogany Strat Fender has ever produced. I own one and love it. Aside from the fact that it is absolutely beautiful it's amazingly versatile. Ipod sound problems hel pplease?

Ok so first when i got my used ipod touch 2genration it worked fine for maybye a month.Then there started to be some issuses when i used a cheap pair of non apple headphones the sound started to screw up and sometimes it only came out of one side unless i pushed the end of the headphones far up into the headphone thing.Then i had to turn the headphones end and crap and usally i f i bumped it it screwed up.Ok then after that a found a soulotion i had this spillter thing in and i found out if plug that in and have the headphones plug in that works just fine.Then about a week And a half later it stopped working.It then stopped working trough the headphones with very little sound just like scratching and stuff.S othen it also started playing out the speakers with the headphones on.So i fixed that and it dosent play out the speakers with headphones but still there is no sound trough the headphones is there a way to fix this or im i just screwed

I'd give a serious look at Jeep Wranglers. We've got one, a 2004, 80K mileage, we've changed oil, tires and air-filters. Hasn't had a tune up yet, never had a problem with it. I leased an apartment for 10 months, on the 8 month i asked the landlord if he could give me the apartment cheaper, he told me that the price adjustments and deals were going to come in the mail. I need an answer from a reflexologist.?

I've been having this severe pain in my arms off and on for over a month but have had my lymph nodes under my arms swell from time to time. What I read was that that meant my body was fighting an infection. Well, the first time the extreme pain came on it reached from one arm to the other and radiated from my to my back. That happened one more time about a week later. I'm in mage therapy school and we've been learning reflexology and lymphatic drainage. Seems like everytime I'm in cl this starts to hurt. It is kind of backwards, but doctors do not often order mammograms on patients in their 20s although I had my first mammogram at 28 due to a lump and it was well visualized. The decision is up to you. Your doctor should have explained their reasoning to you. If you were a friend coming to me with this question, which happens fairly often to me, I would not give an opinion without seeing the ultrasound report. The techs suggestion would matter little to me I would want to know what the radiologist says. Their opinion is what matters most and is what the other doctors usually follow.

Clean Microwave vent?

I had an olive oil fire on my stove last week and had the vent fan on when it took place. It's a closed loop and just cycles through a filter. Long story short, the burnt oil fumes are embedded into every circuit board, wire, and component of my microwave. Changing the filter hasn't helped. Is there something like a chimney sweeping log for microwave vents (boil something on the stove to send cleaning fumes through), or do I just need to buy a new microwave to get rid of the smell?

Overbearing mother--or is it just me?

Ever since I was little I have had a loving mom who is always there for me---sometimes more than I would like though. I know I should be happy because some people grow up without any parental support but sometimes I feel smothered. Is this wrong of me? When I was little I wasnt able to do a lot of the things other kids did. we never went out many places and Ive never been on a vacation to anywhere yet alone left the area that I live in further than a 4 hour drive. I used to want to do things outside as a kid like climb trees or splash my feet in the mud on a rainy day but my mom would freak out and say I would break my arm or catch pneumonia and I wasnt allowed. For this many people have always told me that is part of why I am like I am today. Im sort of like chuckie from the rugrats (if anyone remembers that show) where he is very worried and always the one to say "well I dont know about that" and I hardly take necessary risks in life because Im too afraid. Normally I try to just go ahead and do everything mom tells me to do- mainly because Im her daughter and that's what a good daughter should do. but sometimes I get annoyed and don't do what she says- especially in the past few years and here I am about to turn 21 this year (yes, I still live at home, I have a job and go to college but my job isnt enough to support me on my own and my mom would most likely take it as a personal strike against her if I were to leave without going off with a husband or something). For example: I try to help around the house by cleaning the dishes or vacing the floor but it's never good enough for her. She looks at it and will knit pick every little thing about it. When I wash dishes she says I didnt do it right because I didnt do it the same way she does it (same with ironing clothes---we both get the SAME end result- but I just do it in a way that is easier for me and faster---just that I dont do it the way she did it and the way her mother taught her doesnt mean it's the right way for me). So she rewashes the dishes or revaes the floor. This just makes me not even see a point in helping out around the house and I end up not doing it. Ive also gotten into a bad habit lately. I get on the internet late at night and stay on there til about 3 or 4 in the morning and I end up sleeping in until 12 in the afternoon. Though I do believe that it's up to me what I want to do and I tell her that- but every time i sleep in she comes in the room begging me to wake up and saying tings like "you're so lazy, you gotta get up- you're not the same little girl I used to know- you've changed, you used to be an early bird n wake up early every morning. I dont know what happened to you. there IS something wrong with you- I KNOW there is- tell me what it is." and I tell her that I would have 2 make something up and it would be a lie because I couldnt think of anything wrong with me other than her nagging me every morning to get up when she wants me to. I know she cares about me- but Im responsible- if I gotta get up- I'll get up- I always prepare for things or am able to get up n be ready if I have to- but if I can sleep in I do it lately. and she gets sad and teary eyed and says " I dont even see you anymore- you're always in this room. You must not like me anymore, you dont like being around me" and all this stuff. The thing is- I have this room that is sort of like my bedroom but it's called the playroom. I have gaming stuff in here and a computer and all the commodities that I like to do. My dad watches the TV in the living room and puffs a thick cloud of cigg smoke in there so I never want to be in that room anyway. There really isnt much to do at our house so I get bored and this room is just my escape. Mom is normally sleeping because she worked too much or she's in the kitchen cooking or cleaning or cussing out my dad (they dont have a good marriage- my dad is a lazy bum who will never do anything unless mom helps him and that makes them both angry. My mom has to put up with a lot with my dad and prolly from me too because I stay in this room all the time- but I do cmoe out- I eat dinner at the table with her we go out together sometimes. Lotsa my friends have moved out of their house and are on their own now and my mom is worried that I dont talk to her enough. I mean---maybe I dont- Im just so confused. I feel terrible. As a person with Asperger's Syndrome, I have noticed this a lot. I wonder if people do this because they think they'll gain sympathy or if they think it's cool. They're in for a rude awakening if that's their motive. Most folks lack any compunction to a disposition like this. There are members of my own family who still disregard any of it. In our society, we are marginalized and considered a burden or inconvenience to be around. The general public lacks the compion to see the person for who they truly are as they are shallow and superficial. When I attended several meetings at an adult Aspie group in Austin, Texas, I lost interest after awhile. I found it rather odd that I was only one of a few there diagnosed by an actual licensed professional. After awhile, I found that insulting. Anybody can self-diagnose. Just because someone has marginal social skills, eccentric behavior, a monotone voice, and crystallized intelligence, that doesn't mean the individual is on the autistic spectrum. I posted earlier today about how water seeped into our basement from the joint between the wall foundation and the floor of our basement. Someone mentioned that I needed to fix the soil outside. NOW we have another unusual situation. I went back downstairs and noticed a single puddle near the middle of the floor and the water was seeping into the other finished room through the drywall. This puddle was not near the foundation wall and wasn't connected to another puddle. There is a sewer pipe above it, but I checked it and it was completely dry. Where did this water come from? Get out of federal student loan in default through a lump sum payment or a rehab program?

I recently got a call from a collecting agency on behalf of the Department of Education about a federal student loan I took out a couple years ago, which went into default. The agent offered me two options. Either I pay everything back in full, or I enroll in a rehab program to get out of the default first and then work my way up. Even though it is a pretty big sum and it will take me some work to get that amount, it is not entirely beyond reach. Now my question is, which route should I take to go about this? DOE already put some negative items on my credit report. I am guessing if I pay them the lump sum, they would change the status to "paid in full"? And how would that impact my credit rating? If I go with a rehab program instead, how would that look on my credit rating? I am just worried that the interest would climb to an insurmountable sum while I am still in rehab. And they are basically waiving off the collection fee if I pay in full. I know that any amount written off is taxable through 1099 but I am not sure what % it typically is. What kind of weird virus is this?

Warning: This might sound kind of nasty: I caught that virus that's been going around - the one that lasts for about 4-8 weeks with mostly cold symptoms (fever, sore throat, body aches, eventually a cough, etc.). Well, I came down with this sucker Feb. 5, which was 4 1/2 weeks ago, and I really thought I was over it until a few days ago I developed a sore throat again. But, it was a different kind of sore throat - not as severe. So, I thought it was just allergies. Well, the sore throat intensified until two nights ago when I developed a horrible cough that nothing can take care of (not even the cough medicine I was given three weeks ago when I was sick the first time). When I had the cough before, I coughed up greenish phlegm, then later on, yellow mucous. Tonight I coughed up a large quantity of clear liquid (mucous, I ume). Then, I threw up, although I didn't feel nauseous, so it was probably my cough that triggered it. Sorry to go on like this, but I am so sick of being sick.

When I came to my desk, my phone was already logged in. I logged out, and logged back in due to I had phone problems in the past. I went to get something to drink. My phone had been logged out again, so I logged in again thinking maybe I did not log in. Well, I worked 8 hours and 45 minutes. Due to make up time as well as flex time. I was approached that day by my sup, and she stated someone told her I had my co-worker friend log me in. I told her I logged in twice because my phone was having issues. She said there are people who are going to lose their jobs if I don’t tell the truth. I stated this again. So, it was brought to me again, and I just went ahead and said I did. They fired me as well as my coworker. 2 DAYS LATER!!!!!!!Stated they did not know how HR policies were done. Inexpensive but very fast speed boat / motor combo's -?

I have been trying to think of some different make/model speed boats made in the past say 25 years which had the highest power to weight ratios', were extremely well made/strong hulls, and would go very fast with a decent size outboard (100-200hp range for example). I was obviously looking used, but still in very nice shape, very fast, and very reasonably priced now on the used market. Some ideas I had were the old Glastron speedboats (like the model used in Jamss Bond film), the great old Checkmate speedboats (which I think had problems with transom cracking sometimes), and someone else mentioned looking at "Skaters" also. Anyone recomend some makes/models I could look at in this cl? My ear lobe has been pierced for around two years now. Everything's been okay until recently my hole began swelling. I don't know what's wrong. I have an 8 month old son, and i want to be pregnant again! Is this normal?

My son is 8 months old and ever since he was about 3months old, i have wanted to be pregnant. I know that is a part of depression but i don't have any other symptoms. I miss being pregnant but most of all I want to be pregnant so i can give birth again. My first experience was traumatic and empowering at the same time. Basically, i was sent home when i shouldn't have been and ended up delivering at home because of the neglegience of the nurse AND doctor. Right after my son came out i felt so invigorious and excited that i had just given birth to him. I watch a baby story all the time and see how most births are so i think i just want to also experience a "normal" birth where you are hooked up and they tell you to push. Plus i want 4-6 kids total. My sister asked me if I would drywall a room in her house for her and she wants me to name a price. I told her I would, but I have no idea how much to charge her for the job.
