Inexpensive but very fast speed boat / motor combo's -?

I have been trying to think of some different make/model speed boats made in the past say 25 years which had the highest power to weight ratios', were extremely well made/strong hulls, and would go very fast with a decent size outboard (100-200hp range for example). I was obviously looking used, but still in very nice shape, very fast, and very reasonably priced now on the used market. Some ideas I had were the old Glastron speedboats (like the model used in Jamss Bond film), the great old Checkmate speedboats (which I think had problems with transom cracking sometimes), and someone else mentioned looking at "Skaters" also. Anyone recomend some makes/models I could look at in this cl? Something between say 16' and 26', lower the HP needed to go fast the better, but I'd really like to find something that would hit say 60-80mph top speed if possible. Thanks for any ideas !!
