Ipod sound problems hel pplease?

Ok so first when i got my used ipod touch 2genration it worked fine for maybye a month.Then there started to be some issuses when i used a cheap pair of non apple headphones the sound started to screw up and sometimes it only came out of one side unless i pushed the end of the headphones far up into the headphone thing.Then i had to turn the headphones end and crap and usally i f i bumped it it screwed up.Ok then after that a found a soulotion i had this spillter thing in and i found out if plug that in and have the headphones plug in that works just fine.Then about a week And a half later it stopped working.It then stopped working trough the headphones with very little sound just like scratching and stuff.S othen it also started playing out the speakers with the headphones on.So i fixed that and it dosent play out the speakers with headphones but still there is no sound trough the headphones is there a way to fix this or im i just screwed
